
Payroll Administrator
Location: Stanley Bett House, Tentercroft Street, Lincoln
Salary/Wage: £12.54 per hour
Contract Permanent - 37.5 hours per week - Part time hours also considered
About the role:
Our Support Services are always on hand to offer advice and guidance to colleagues across our business. Our busy and reliable Payroll Team are a key part of this, working together to provide comprehensive payroll service to colleagues across the Society.
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll Administrator to join our team, based at our Support Centre in Lincoln. In this role, you'll work as part of a team to complete the end-to-end payroll process for multiple payroll systems.
Your role will involve (but is not limited to):
- Processing all associated tasks, including
o Starters & leavers
o Maternity, paternity pay, sickness & absences
o Expenses & timesheet processing
o Tax codes queries and checks
o Salary sacrifices and other salary deductions
- Manual calculations of statutory payments and Society sick pay.
- Ensuring payroll deadlines are met.
- HMRC deductions preparation for review and payment.
- Handling queries from both internal and external stakeholders.

About You
We’re looking for an honest, reliable, and motivated person who has a keen eye for detail and dependable organisational skills. If you have a minimum of 3 years' previous experience working within a busy Payroll function or hold a relevant qualification, we’d love to hear from you. You’ll need to show us:
- Experience using a market leading payroll application for medium to large organisations would be advantageous.
- Payroll knowledge, including rules and regulations, tax, national insurance and statutory benefits rules.
- Good payroll knowledge and understanding of manual payroll calculations.
- Up to date knowledge of payroll legislation, including rules and regulations for tax, national insurance and statutory benefits.
- An appreciation and respect for GDPR and confidentiality.
