This intricate, highly detailed toile printed on cotton, was originally designed by Hippolytes Le Bas in 1818 and features vignettes of famous Parisian monuments. Our studio has refreshed the toile by introducing more colour and sophistication to the design, inspired by Robert Adam’s neoclassical interiors of the late 18th century. The 4 new colourings feature a muted, chalky colour palette that works beautifully with today’s trend for dark, rich interiors.
Also new for Spring are 8 colours of our bestselling semi-plain chenille. This soft viscose chenille offers a warm vintage look and is very versatile, being ideal for drapery and yet extremely hard-wearing for upholstery (Martindale rub test result: 32,000, suitable for Severe Contract). The new, contemporary colourings update and expand the range to offer a comprehensive selection of 34 colours. New colours are: Paprika, Saffron, Flax, Teal, Pewter, Mulberry, Brown and Fawn.
