Chief Finance and Compliance Officer
Location: Lincoln
Salary: Competitive Package
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
This is a unique opportunity to join a successful Executive Leadership Team responsible for developing strategy and leading business transformation. This is a highly influential position within the organisation, reporting to the Principal and CEO. As a qualified accountant, you will provide strategic leadership to ensure strong compliance and governance across the Group and most importantly grow and create financially resilient colleges in the Group.
We are no “ordinary FE College”. With around 14,000 students and 1200 staff at 9 Further and Higher Education locations across the globe, we are by far the largest “commercially focussed” college that offers an exciting opportunity for experienced finance professionals to really make their mark. With a reputation for strong education standards and superb relevance to local employers, the Lincoln College Group has every reason to be proud. However, rather than rest on our laurels, we are looking to the future to appoint a Chief Finance and Compliance Officer with a clear and ambitious vision to improve sustainability and drive improvements to our financial health.
As a Group, we are looking to appoint a Chief Finance and Compliance Officer who can support the delivery of sustainable growth, further expansion, and diversification such as the opening of our bespoke £15m Air and Space Institute (ASI) in January 2024 . Our students “rave” about the experience they receive on programmes such as the Air and Defence College, Care College, Policing College and ASI with excellent working opportunities in our commercial outlets such as The Drill, Old Bakery and Aura Salon to name but a few.
As a large and complex education provider, we would like to hear from exceptional individuals who excel in leadership with a proven record of successful outcomes in finance and compliance. We are looking for a Chief Finance and Compliance Officer who embraces change and inspires others to follow; someone who can innovate and provide high-quality services in all financial and compliance matters to ensure we progress on our journey to “Be Extraordinary”. The core themes of our “Purpose” are to be employer led, creating highly skilled and productive individuals; which we do through highly relevant and well-funded programmes. This is only possible due to our innovative business model based around international and commercial provision. We are proud that we provide many of our students with extraordinary opportunities that are not available in many other education settings.
This key leadership role will require a passion for education, with an energy that ensures over the next three years we improve Group provision, both in the UK and abroad, to be highly relevant, motivating and inspiring to all of our learners so that others call our education provision truly “Extraordinary”.
The successful candidate will have leadership experience that balances the right values and vision for education that will lead the Group to further and greater success.
